He was born in Mexico City in 1965. He studied the BA. Degree in Engineer of Electronic Systems and in 1992 he obtained his Ph. D. in the Academy of Sciences of Hungary with Summa Cum Laude. Since 1997 he has been working as Professor-Researcher at UAQ (Autonomous University of Queretaro) in charge of the Coordination of the Master Degree, as Head of Postgraduate Studies and Director of the School of Engineering. Later on, since January 2012, he assumed the position of President of the Autonomous University of Queretaro. He has published 40 articles in international journals, supervised 42 theses, and has registered 5 patents, 9 copyrights, participated in 5 books and 69 publications in National and International Congresses. The works he has carried out with his contributors have obtained five distinctions, two international awards and three national awards. One of the most important is the National Prize for Researchers on Engineer and Technology granted by the Mexican Academy of Sciences in 2005. The Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro is a public University. It was founded on February 24th 1951, as a result of the closure of the Old Civil College, and obtained its autonomy on February 5, 1959.
