National Chairs Programme

  Plan de trabajo

The national chairs programme established by the Consortium’s Council of University Presidents is comprised of 7 chairs in the following fields of knowledge: the Carlos Chanfón Olmos Chair in architecture, the Agustín Reyes Ponce Chair in accounting and management; the Emilio Rosenblueth Chair in civil engineering; the Ignacio Chávez Chair in medicine; the Juan Luis Cifuentes Chair in biological science; the Julieta Heres Pulido Chair in psychology; and the Aline Shunemann Chair in veterinary medicine and animal husbandry.

This programme will be carried out following a strategic and innovative approach, based on a programme of activities such as round-table discussions, lectures, workshops, courses and discussion forums that will enable scholars to share experiences with recognized experts from national and international institutions. The purpose of such an approach is to establish academic networks that undertake specific tasks with the aim of training human resources with the use of research and teaching projects launched in specific fields.

The establishment of the national chairs programme by the Consortium reaffirms the collaborative work that has been proposed within CUMex, and among scholars from various universities in pursuit of a common goal: to build an alliance for quality higher education.
