The Consortium of Mexican Universities is comprised of the following higher education institutions:

Benemerita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla Autonomous University of Aguascalientes Autonomous University of Baja California Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez Autonomous University of Coahuila Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo Autonomous University of Mexico State Autonomous University of Nuevo León Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí Autonomous University of Yucatán University of Colima Western University of Sinaloa University of Quintana Roo University of Sonora Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Ecatepec

These institutions account for over 93.43% of the student population enrolled in advanced technical, associate and bachelor’s degrees, whose high quality is certified by Mexico’s National Evaluation and Accreditation System.

The consolidation of these institutions represents the new face of Mexico’s higher education system.

Recently, and as a result of the above, President Vicente Fox Quesada praised the work of these institutions during a ceremony held on November 29th, 2004, in recognition of the institutions’ progress and growth, as reported by the results of the evaluations carried out by external committees.
