- To contribute, in an efficient manner, towards the creation of a forum for higher education in Mexico.
- To become a point of reference in examining the quality of higher education programmes in Mexico and the world.
In order to achieve these objectives, CUMex has created an efficient collaboration network, which:
- Encourages the analysis of the compatibility and comparability of educational programmes with the assistance of experts, and with the use of the Tuning methodology, also used by the European Union.
- Aims to ensure common areas of interest in the field of higher education converge as a result of the development of professional profiles.
- Facilitates the generation and innovative application of knowledge through Mexico’s Carlos Chanfón chair on architecture, Emilio Rosenblueth chair on civil engineering, Ignacio Chávez chair on medicine, Julieta Heres Pulido chair on psychology, Juan Luis Cifuentes chair on biology, Aline Schunemann chair on veterinary medicine and animal husbandry, and Agustín Reyes Ponce chair on management and accounting.
- Has Inter-continental collaboration and academic exchange networks among academic bodies, which can become examples of success stories of technical, scientific and technological cooperation.
- Implements credit-transfer schemes with a view to promoting student mobility.
