AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF CIUDAD JUÁREZ

Located in the northern State of Chihuaha, the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez is a public and autonomous institution founded on October 10th, 1973, whose work is carried out by its 15 departments grouped into 4 institutes, according to the University’s fields of knowledge, and one multi-disciplinary division, located at the campuses of Ciudad Juárez, Nuevo Casas Grandes, and one land reserve found at the University’s Ciudad Universitaria. The University’s curricula are flexible, with department assistance provided in accordance with the courses’ field of knowledge. Collegial evaluation and the intra-curricular degree awarding model are predominant at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez. Similarly, the institution provides assistance to its students through its academic advising and “Healthy University” programmes.

This University has a student population of 14,607, enrolled in 3 advanced technical degrees and 38 bachelor’s programmes, 21 of which are included in CIEES’s Level I classification register. In addition, 18 bachelor’s programmes are accredited by organs of COPAES. The University’s faculty is comprised of 531 full-time professors, 72.5% of whom have completed graduate studies.
