Access Guide

STEP ONE

There are two ways to join the programmed Video Conference:

A) You can access the Video Conference automatically by following the link included in the e-mail sent on behalf of the Host (President of CUMex). 

B) As well, you can access the Video Conference by entering the Meeting ID (Video Conference Code) in the web page www.dimdim.com  on the date and time programmed.

An example of an Electronic Mail sent on behalf of the HOST (presenter) to his invited guests:

  • 1) Date and Time programmed for the Video Conference
  • 2) Link to access the Conference automatically
  • 3) Meeting Name (Name of the Video Conference)
  • 4) Meeting Room ID (Room ID of the Video Conference)
  • 5) Meeting Key (Access Code for the Video Conference) *In case this is required by the HOST.

STEP TWO

Accessing:

A) Access Using the Link Included in the e-Mail.

When using this method, the link automatically completes the requested fields, leaving only the Display Name in which you write the name of the person you wish to appear in the Room as identification. This can be your own name.

B) Direct Access from the Video Conference page Enter here
(Once on this page click the button which says JOIN MEETING in blue)


As well, you could access the Video Conference by completing all the required fields, such as Meeting ID, Display Name, Meeting Key and the programmed date and time.

  • 1) Meeting Room ID (Room ID of the Video Conference)
  • 2) Display Name (Your name or your designate’s name)
  • 3) Meeting Key (Access Code for the Video Conference) *In case this is required by the HOST
  • 4) Join

STEP THREE

Inside the Room:

After entering the correct information on the programmed day and hour, you are sent to the Waiting Room until the HOST (Presenter) provides access to or begins the Video Conference. This gives the HOST a little time to prepare his/her presentation.

When the HOST or presenter begins the Video Conference, which is laid out in the following format:

  • 1) Presentation Area.
  • 2) Public Chat. You can communicate with all participants in the Video Conference Room in this section.
  • 3) Video. The HOST’s (Presenter) video is shown in this section.
  • 4) Contact List. This section shows all connected contacts.
  • 5) Contact Options. In this section, you can conduct a private chat with whomever you wish, among other functions.
  • 6) Leave Meeting (Disconnect or leave the Video Conference Room).
